Get It Right, Bitches!

COLOMBIA IS A COUNTRY. COLUMBIA IS A UNIVERSITY.

ALUMNUS IS SINGULAR MALE. ALUMNA IS SINGULAR FEMALE. ALUMNI (A-LUM-NEE) IS PLURAL MALE OR PLURAL MIXED. ALUMNAE (A-LUM-NYE, the way everyone pronounces 'alumni') IS PLURAL FEMALE ONLY.

John is an alumnus. John and Michael are alumni (rhymes with knee). John and Mary are alumni. Mary is an alumna. Mary and Jane are alumnae (rhymes with eye).

Colombia is the home country of Shakira. Utada Hikaru attended Columbia for like a year before she dropped out.

OKAY? And don't get me started about 'nauseous' and 'nauseated'. Tch.

EDIT: PLZ READ COMMENTS, I'M CONFUSED, NO SRSLY DON'T MAKE ME SAY IT AGAIN BECAUSE NOW I DON'T KNOW THO I STAND BY MY WORDS. This is where I also note I didn't learn latin in school, but used to know a teacher who did and he was anal about us pronouncing alumni rhymes with knee. The end.
